Citing Websites - MLA

Citing Websites


Find as many of the following components as you can. If there are components you can't find (no author, version or date created) then skip it and move on to the next. There should always be a publisher or sponsor so dig deep to find one. The Date of access is the last day you went to the website. Notice punctuation and font (italics): these are important! The Medium of Publication for websites is "Web".

Components:

1. Author, Editor, Compiler, Narrator, Translator Last Name, First.
2. "Title of Page or Document."
3. Title of Web Site.
4. Version or edition used.
5. Publisher/sponsor of site (N.p.= no publisher found),
6. Date of publication (n.d.= no date found).
7. Medium of publication.
8. Date of access.
9. <URL>. (If required by your teacher).

Depending on the source you used arrange the components to look like one of the following examples (don't forget to use hanging indentation and double spacing):
